KNEE OSTEOTOMY (FEMORAL or TIBIAL)

An osteotomy is indicated in suitable young individuals who have a deformity or arthritis isolated to one area of the knee causing pain, dysfunction and disruption of desired activities.

The aim is to either correct a deformity or relieve pain and increase function.

This is achieved by re-aligning the limb to offload the diseased area of the knee.

The details of the procedure, including the potential risks, the post-operative course and the expected outcomes will be detailed at length by Dr Beer at your appointment.

You will be provided with written information regarding your surgery and rehabilitation at your appointment.

Any questions you have will be addressed at this time.
